What makes me unique
I am a strong communicator with a penchant for attention to detail. I didn’t seriously think about what I wanted to be when I grew up until my college classes had already started, but after some self-reflection and a few hours of research, I confidently changed my major to PR. I haven’t looked back since.
I love helping others, but I also enjoy a challenge. Perhaps that’s why PR is such a perfect fit for me—I get to use my communication skills and empathy to problem-solve for clients.
I love working on new projects, collaborating and making new connections.

Projects that I love
Anything creative. I spend a lot of my time writing, and I love it. The old adage of “sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me” isn’t true for everyone. Words have a lot of power—they can hurt, but they can also influence opinions, promote viewpoints, build reputations, etc.—and I enjoy finding the most effective ways and channels to communicate.
I also love strategizing and analyzing ways to be more efficient. With strategy comes research, and I am relieved to admit I enjoy learning about new ideas, terms and industry changes and challenges.
What makes me proud
Professionally, I am proud to work at Content Pilot and I am excited to grow in my career under Sheila’s wing.
Personally, I am proud of the community service and advocacy projects I’ve been a part of: I volunteered at my hometown’s (Longview, TX) library for five years, I’ve staffed summer camps, led youth leadership summits and conferences, participated in Eaglethon (UNT’s Dance Marathon), and I’ve volunteered with Keep Denton Beautiful.
I currently volunteer with and raise money for Service for Sight—Delta Gamma’s foundation that benefits those with visual impairments.
