What makes me unique
Growing up in Cuba, from a young age I was interested in science and engineering. From the first time I was able to use a computer, I realized the potential of technology and I knew I wanted to pursue a career in a related field. I started my computer science degree in Cuba, but when I had the opportunity to immigrate to the United States, I moved to Miami and finished my computer science degree at Florida International University.
I have been working as a web developer since 2016??, predominantly on the Front End. I’ve had the opportunity to work with many technologies including JavaScript and libraries such as React and Angular. My years of experience have taught me to diligently follow best programming practices and design patterns.
My approach to every project is focused on finding effective solutions and delivering clean and quality code. When presented with any project, task or even problem, I analyze it to come up with multiple possible solutions and implement the one that will have the best outcome for the performance of the application in the long run.
The project that I love
I enjoy projects that challenge me to think critically and creatively. The feeling of accomplishment at the end of a busy day in which I have been able to provide effective solutions is the most rewarding.
What makes me proud
I am proud of the obstacles I’ve overcome to accomplish what I have in a short time. From starting over in a new country to getting my career off the ground, I am building a future with my growing family and I am only just getting started.
