Last week, I attended (and Content Pilot exhibited at) the 2010 international Legal Marketing Association (LMA) conference in Denver. I have several observations, which I’ll share in a post later this week.
This post is a quick congratulations to the 2010 inductees into the LMA Hall of Fame. These are not “lifetime achievement” awards (although that is part of the formal title), which always suggest that someone is at career’s end. Rather, these three legal marketers are as busy and vibrant as ever, and continue up in their career trajectory. Norm Rubenstein and I co-chaired the Hall of Fame committee for the second year in a row. Norm was inducted into the inaugural class (2007) of the Hall of Fame, and I was inducted the second year.
The induction ceremony wasn’t somber, but fun, and had Andy Warhol themed photos of all current 11 Hall of Famers, plus the three new inductees. As soon as LMA posts the video of the luncheon, I’ll link to it here. Thanks to 2008 Hall of Famer Burkey Belser and Greenfield/Belser for the Andy Warhol presentation.
Congratulations to: Silvia Coulter, vice president with Hildebrandt Baker Robbins; Jim Durham, CMO of McGuire Woods and Kevin McMurdo, CMO of Perkins Coie.
Now, I am off to prepare a “Marketing on the Internet” presentation for tonight’s SMU Law School Law Practice Management class.
