If we say “X” without mentioning social media or Twitter, would you know what we mean? Perhaps this is why law firms are hesitating to update the X (formerly Twitter) logo and language on their website.
Normally, after a new brand is unveiled, updated materials soon follow (if not simultaneously). In this instance? A week after X’s brand guidelines were published, not one of the AmLaw 100 firms updated the logo from the Twitter bird to the X logo—or language, as the case may be.
We looked at the websites again at the beginning of January. About half of law firms updated the logo, and a few firms dropped the platform link altogether.
We’re curious: what’s the holdout? Maybe your firm is getting rid of the platform or waiting to update the website with bigger changes? Let us know what your firm is doing about X.
